Study and promotion of navigation, shipbuilding and related activities on winter and summer coasts of the White Sea.

The head of the museum is Alexandra Georgievna Bogdanova.

In 2019-2020 the institution took part in projects promoting marine history of Primorsky district of the Arkhangelsk region, its folklore heritage, development of other parts of the district. For instance, the museum took part in “Yunye corabely” (young shipbuilders) project which became a prize winner of regional social projects competition among non-profit organizations carried out by the Arkhangelsk region government in 2019.
