The results of the “Museum 4.0” competition, held by Vladimir Potanin foundation, are summarized. We are happy to announce that an international project “Matitsa: preservation and development of northern wooden shipbuilding” has been listed as a grant holder within the programme “Museum without borders”. More than 400 projects from 74 regions of our country applied for the grant fund of 50 mln roubles.

The chief director of Vladimir Potanin foundation Oksana Oracheva: “We are happy that crisis hasn’t become an invincible obstacle for our colleagues and project work in a museum is developing. Many of the competition projects let us take a fresh look at how to accomplish traditional tasks of a museum using innovative methods and easily combining online and offline tools… We are announcing results and are looking forward to starting projects in unusual circumstances, but I am sure that all the ideas will come true due to their initiators, who are professionals, and a community support. And I am also sure that soon we will all be able to get together to celebrate new project achievements.”

There is a lot of work ahead: within the project there will be held an International forum on practical historic wooden shipbuilding, a tutorial workshop on shipbuilding, a course of public lectures “Matitsa of Meanings”, creative competitions, workshops and many other events.
