We are implementing the activities of the project!

On October 02, under the leadership of Aleksei Ivanovich Klimov, an expedition was conducted to search for parts of wooden ships. The staff of the museum, together with a team of school volunteers, studied part of the White Sea coast and gained an unforgettable experience!

Alexei Ivanovich, during the expedition, not only shared scientific knowledge and facts with us, but also taught to distinguish wood from artifacts! It turned out that not all the logs, boards and chopsticks lying on the other side of the beach would be suitable for a fire – some of them could be a web or a fishing net float.

It seems to us that such a journey is an excellent way of studying traditional wooden shipbuilding. Be careful on the beach, maybe you’ll get lucky!
